Synopsis: Our story is set in Andros, known for its Meltemia, the unexpected, strong Cycladic winds. On Good Friday, Polyxeni, a 70year-old mother, grandmother and widow mysteriously disappears. Relatives and the local society are looking for her, anxious about her health and judgment, without knowing about her secret appointment: an appointment that has been waiting for 48 years.
She started as a writer, publishing a collection of short stories at her 18th. After her degree as a Computer Engineer, she returned to narration, this time through cinema, by writing and directing her first short films (official screenings at the Athens Digital Arts Festival). She continued by completing her Master Degree at London Film School, and now she works in scripts, direction, photography and production. Meltemi is her graduation film as a director.
